I go to this Delhaize regularly, about once to twice a week. It’s very convenient, especially since it’s open 7 days a week with good hours, even on Sunday afternoons.
The staff are generally kind and helpful, and they do their best to assist. Some are a bit less friendly than others, but still respectful overall.
Stock can be a bit inconsistent : sometimes the shelves are well filled, other times quite empty. It’s the same with promotions: popular items are often out of stock, probably because they sell out quickly. There seems to be a bit of an organization issue, possibly due to understaffing, as there are often only a few checkout counters open.
There are handheld scanners available at the entrance to scan your items while shopping, but they don’t always work 100% of the time.
The self-checkout machines are generally reliable but require a customer card to use.
That said, I rarely have to wait long thanks to these options. There are free cardboard boxes at the entrance, which is very convenient if you need to pack things. There’s also an underground parking area and a pickup point downstairs for online orders.
You can return deposit bottles near the self-checkout area as well.
They also offer Too Good To Go, although I haven’t tried it yet.
Overall, I’m quite satisfied with this store, even if there’s still room for improvement.
