This is one of the better Proxy Delhaize branches I have come across in Brussels and, after shopping here repeatedly, I am perfectly happy to give it five stars.
The shop is considerably better stocked than one might expect from a neighbourhood supermarket. The shelves are generally full and well organised, there is a good variety of everyday groceries and fresh products, and the premises have consistently appeared clean and properly maintained.
What makes the greatest difference, however, is the staff. I have dealt with several different members of the team and have consistently found them courteous, approachable and willing to help. On one occasion, when I was uncertain about how a particular Delhaize promotion worked, a member of staff took the time to explain it properly rather than simply giving a hurried answer. That sort of customer service is remembered.
The branch also manages to strike a good balance between being compact enough for a straightforward shopping trip and large enough to offer considerably more choice than some smaller convenience stores. Stock appears to be replenished regularly, and the overall impression is of a supermarket where somebody is actually paying attention to presentation and availability rather than merely opening the doors and hoping for the best.
There is nothing unnecessarily elaborate about the place; it simply performs the fundamentals of a good neighbourhood supermarket very well: useful selection, clean surroundings, stocked shelves and genuinely pleasant staff.
A reliable and welcoming branch, and one I am very comfortable recommending. Five stars.
